Researched and found out the factory-installed ones have a bunch of tie-ins to the info system electronics, not all of which can be burnt in. Time to trade in anyway, ordered a bespoke Ltd 4x4 with hitch package. 2021 package price is less $ than add-on and all functions will be covered. So, I'm either smart or lazy. We'll know which next month when it arrives.
