Hello,
I took my Jeep to the service department yesterday and they guy there tried to tell me that it doesn't work if your headlights are set to AUTO. I told him that I don't believe this is true. I said that those 2 red lights come on about 10% of the time...day or night. I even tried switching my headlights to ON and those lights would still not come on. He reluctanly scheduled an appointment for next Tuesday. This vehicle only has 600 miles on it so I shouldn't be having issues already.
Thanks,
Bruce
Hi Bruce,
Pages 423-427 of your Owner's Manual talk about the Assist Call buttons:
"If the 9-1-1 Call system detects a malfunction, any of the following may occur at the time the malfunction is detected, and at the beginning of each ignition cycle:
• The overhead console lights located on the Assist and 9-1-1 buttons will continuously be illuminated red.
• The Device Screen will display the following message 'Vehicle device requires service. Please contact your dealer."
• An In-Vehicle Audio message will state "Vehicle device requires service. Please contact your dealer.'"
I would recommend bringing this to your dealership's attention during your appointment on Tuesday. Just PM our page if you have any additional questions or concerns!
