got it, it is not a light but it is light reflective, if its dark you wont see it, lol
Did you do this? Will this void my warranty? If you have the 1.4L turbo. They sell an aftermarket throttle body that fixes that..it actually makes it pretty punchy and isn't expensive and east to install. Madness autoworks sells it. And lots of Renegade upgrades..very cool sight.
Yes my jeep does the same thing. The dealer had us bring it and they "updated the software". I still does the same thing. And my brakes squeal so loud that I'm so embarrassed to drive it. I have little over 5000 miles on it. I really wish I had not got it.Hey I'm having a bit of hesitation on acceleration. Has anyone else noticed this?
Husband says it has to do with the metal they are made from. He says some have high content of iron and will rust quickly. He says it's not that it's an inferior metal, just what the engineers have decided works best .What's the deal with rust appearing on the disc brakes after sitting for 2-3 days after rain or moisture?
My husband has been mechanic all his life and he says brake squeal is caused by pad material. Is hi metalic or ceramic to give long wear and not be affected by heat. Mine squeals sometimes but not all the time. He also said that someone who uses the brakes hard a lot may not have a squealing problem. He said this keeps the pads from glazing which causes them to vibrate and squeal on lite application. He said the Renegade was targeted for 20 somethings who drive more aggressive and use the brake harder. He says technically not a first year because Fiat used running gear under Panda model in Europe and now uses it under Fiat 500 with 4 wheel drive. My Trailhawk has 2.4 motor and I don't have a problem with hesitation. I only have 5000 miles on it so that may change as the miles rack up. Hope this was some help. He also said both engines have been used in the Dodge Dart as well as the basic transmission assy. since it came out.Hey Orange2015. Welcome aboard. I'm glad others are having the same problems as me ( thought maybe cuz of my age that I was just grumpy). Break squealing getting worse as ones on this forum & the guy I purchased it from are trying to convince me that it is "normal". Also, the hesitation; mine isn't going away either. But over the years, I have found that 1st year rigs...you are "rolling the dice"...
Oh yea, one more thing... If you think that you can modify your rig and remove it without anyone knowing it... all I can say is, be careful...
Husband says on a lot of new vehicles they can hook up the scan tool at dealer level and see if any modifications have been made even if they have been removed. He says you would be amazed at the infomation they can pull up on the scan tool.Oh yea, one more thing... If you think that you can modify your rig and remove it without anyone knowing it... all I can say is, be careful...
The Law basically says that if you add accessories or put aftermarket parts of any kind on your vehicle and something breaks, it is up to the DEALER to prove your modification caused the problem, failure..etc. If he can't, your WARRANTY is still intact and will cover the broken/failed part.To be honest I didn't even check. I'd guess it does tho..I did the throttle body and blow off vaule. It's just bolt on stuff that I could put back to stock in a few hours if I had too. But those two give it much better throttle response, and sound good too.. they say 12-15hp gain. It definitely is more responsive.
If, it was me, with that many problems, I would never have peace of mind, which should come with a new vehicle. I'd use the "Lemon Law" and get another vehicle.Hi,
Anyone else has had problems with the following issues:
-their engine being replaced (after owning it for 5 months)
-problems with the vehicle saying that the key fob has left the vehicle while driving
-emergency brake engaging on its own then doesn't disengage
-your car reversing up to 10 mph on its own without pushing the gas pedal?
Please give me some advice.. I currently have a replacement offer from Chrysler through ISG, but is that my only option?
Please Help!
Got any photos of it installed? If you have the 1.4L turbo. They sell an aftermarket throttle body that fixes that..it actually makes it pretty punchy and isn't expensive and east to install. Madness autoworks sells it. And lots of Renegade upgrades..very cool sight.
