After the initial 3000 miles I had the dealer change the oil to synthetic which is good for up to 10k. How do I reset the main message center that says "SERVICE DUE" after starting the engine? 2015 Renegade 2.4

To reset the oil change indicator system (after
performing the scheduled maintenance), refer to the
following procedure.
1. Without pushing the brake pedal, push the ENGINE
START/STOP button and cycle the ignition to the
ON/RUN position (do not start the engine).
2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal, slowly, three times
within 10 seconds.
3. Without pushing the brake pedal, push the ENGINE
START/STOP button once to return the ignition to the
OFF/LOCK position.
NOTE: If the indicator message illuminates when you
start the vehicle, the oil change indicator system did not
reset. If necessary, repeat this procedure.

Unfortunately, in my case this is NOT the answer. The message is not for Oil Change reminder, it is for PERFORM SERVICE and I have brought it in to the dealer who also DOES NOT know how to reset it. All services have been performed to factory specs.

After doing some research I found there are 2 mileage counters. One for oil change and one for service due. They want you to take it into the dealer and have maintenance performed according to the maintenance schedule in the owners manual every 10,000, 20,000, 30,000 etc.

I found ways to reset it on older Jeeps, but not much info on the newer Jeeps. I would suggest you go to your service interval screen on your display using the arrow buttons on the steering wheel and see if there is a way to reset. Mine didn't have a reset, but I still have 9,000 miles to go.

Otherwise it may have to be reset using a diagnostic computer tool to clear the computer code.

One other thing to try, while cycling thru the display there is a screen that says "Messages" My jeep has 0 messages, yours may a have a message and a way to clear it.

Since our renegades are made in Italy I checked to see how you reset it on Fiats and they have to use a diagnostic computer to reset it. Apparently your dealer doesn't know about it.

Surprisingly, my internet searches have not turned up many other people asking about it.

This procedure is waaaaay to complicated.
Just a simple Reset Oil Change in my Ford Escape .
What is the matter with those Italian's ?
Too much Fiat in these Renegades .

I had the very same issue and was only cleared by a Dealership, who wanted a new battery which they don't have and will not order despite the Jeep is only 7 months old and still under Warranty. A Dealership I'll be avoiding.
