My short list from 2015 to 2018 was a Jeep renegade - toyota rav4 - nissan rogue - Jeep Patriot. Excluding the renegade for a moment every Rav4 -Nissan rogue and jeep patriot when I crawled underneath were rusted s few had holes.
One patriot was just sprayed with black coating. Looked at 4 renegades years 2015 to 2018 and not one was sprayed and not one had any rust. I was amazed.
Someone put thought in the renegade as far as rust is concerned.
Purchased the 2018 Renegade latitude. Put it up on ramps when home an zero rust.
Plastic shield on both sides of rocker's not tight up against the rockers but about 2-3 inches down. They did it right. Up here in Vermont rust is everything to me. And the renegade was from Vermont. Just though it may be interesting to others.
