I am at my wits end. I live in a remote area and the nearest dealership is 550 km away. I guess I have a lemon.

Hi TLD,

Do you have a Customer Case open? Since you used kilometers, are you in Canada? You can reach their Customer Care by calling (800) 465-2001 so they can assist further.

Have been in contact with customer care and they cannot help. I guess customer care is not the same in Canada. ☹

I too am suffering from a flat battery in a Jeep Renegade Longitude 4x4 2.0L diesel. A smart charger plus 6 amp is being used as I have start/stop on the car. Battery is sitting at 12.6 volts after charging which I believe is 90% but will not turn over and just shows many different faults on the dash. Now. It's back on charge till the morning and that will be 48hrs which is what it took previously with a trickle charger. Any thoughts?

Hi puddle,

Is your Jeep dealership addressing this for you?

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I got Jeep Recovery to take my Renegade to the Dealer. Battery was knackered and replaced under warranty. The Dealer claims this was only the 3rd Jeep they have had to replace the battery as the others responded to the software update. Something like S45 rings a bell. But whatever it was just happened to be recall that they would update as when the vehicle receives a service.
