Interested in the new Renegade Trailhawk, lots of Renegade's at dealers (none with removable roofs???) here in southern MA. Expect to see a Trailhawk tomorrow no sunroof panels?

My wife and I are on our 25th Jeep, right now a '12 JKU Sahara and a '15 Trailhawk, #25

You can't have trailer tow option--hitch/wiring-----

I'm sure you are right but it seems silly...the removable panels seem like 1/2 the fun! I'm not sure the tow PKG would be worth a lot on a Renegade...just sayin'

When I ordered my JKU Sahara they (the dealer) said I could not order Black leather seats, only the saddle (yuk!) on line it said Black was available! They called Jeep and the factory said yes! My JKU has black leather!

It probably has to do with body rigidity/strength, like if you have a 2dr jeep--softop--you can't rent a Uhaul trailer--

Tops?

I just tried the "build" stuff on Jeep.com and it did allow the "auto/removable" tops with the trailer tow pkg? All the dealers near me have minimum of 8 Renegades or more each usually 4 or more Trailhawks. None have the removable tops? I have at least 10 Jeep dealers within 25 miles of me. Interesting, maybe the tops are not working out and they are not making them yet.

It would be an important option for me, as I said 1/2 the fun! Maybe the trailer pkg. both our JKU and TH have them, on those it includes extra stuff to that is worth having.

That's crazy, I couldn't build one with the removable top/tow pkg, online/w Reno dealer---

If you haven't seen any yet, there's a chance that Chrysler is having trouble keeping those tops from LEAKING !!!

The tow pkg is more important to me, so I can color match/tow my trailer with both the Rene/Rubi-

Time will tell-

I think the one on Jeep.com is not what the dealer has?? You are perhaps right about the leaking tops, I have a '12 JKU Sahara and leaks nary a drop. (shouldn't say that!!) My daughter has a "10 JKU sport and the "T" tops leak so bad they put the soft top back on this winter!!! Go figure?

Guess I'm not sure what the Renegade will tow safely weight wise, that's why I might skip the tow pkg IF I do get one. I use to tow a 4000 ln boat and trailer with my 82 CJ7 and it towed fine, just couldn't stop w/o adding trailer brakes! Found that out going down a steep inclined tar road in the rain, brakes on the CJ full on and the boat just kept pushing to the bottom of the hill! Hence the addition of a trailer brake.
