Remote Start

I live in Minnesota, work long 12hr shifts and can't leave the building to go out and start my car until my shift is up and I'm punched out.
No remote start would most likely would have been a deal breaker but my dealer said he would order and install one. I gave him $1000 for this and went on my way with my new Renegade (that was 3 months ago).
My dealer now tells me one is still is not available and I called Mopar Parts and they tell me that as far as they know, as of right now one is not in the works, they both also tell me that an aftermarket unit would void my warranty.
Has anyone else recieved any info on when or if Jeep will be making one available?

My Renegade Latitude has push button start/stop which includes remote start as part of the system. It was one of the options when I bought it in May. I doubt if you will be able to find an after market unit.
Limited has one. Feature worth getting if you can find it and want to throw in the extra cash.
I found someone who has been installing CompuStar units for 20 years. Both he and this product come highly recommended. 1 mile range compared to the 800" you get with a factory unit...
...what I found interesting is they can upgrade the range on factory starters and even to those with your cell phone.
My 2016 trailhawk has a remote start, and it was an option. Love it

I have had this unit for a couple of months now and it starts my car from almost anywhere at work, also starts it from anywhere i've used it in the local super walmart. Works better than any factory remote I've ever used...
