Is glacier a Special edition? Or just the name of the color

Just picked ours up on Monday, we bought the Glacier 4x4 2.4 Latitude. My question is the transmission. I have never had an auto/9 speed. How do I know when to use it?

Glacier is just the color. So sorry if I implied something different.
Welcome Teri. Sometimes I feel a little hesitation when I start out slow with my Renegade. They tell me it's just the 9 speeds "thinking..." I got use to it & really like the ride.
I enjoy it tremendously, but I am just not sure how to use the "manual" option, my son saysit's just a slap stick...maybe my husband will let me have it for a day and I will just take it to the dealer and tell them to show me? I am probably over thinking the whole thing....
