I am about to purchase a NEW Renegade, but need to know if anyone tows a small trailer with theirs.I was told 2000lb max

Yes you can 2000Lbs for the 2.4 L Tigershark and if you live out side North America you can tow 2200 Lbs on the 1.4L Fire.

That's what the manual says.. but I met a guy in "Ollie's" parking lot pulling a big U haul, pulled it from Texas! He said , "no problems". I pull the 2000 lb. limit and a little over. Personally, I think if need to pull something bigger.. get something bigger to pull it with.
It's not that 1.4L can't haul 2200Lbs, it's covered under warranty if something goes wrong while towing over the maximum recommended weight in North America. I called head office about it took months for the answer.
As you can see I pull a pop up camper. No problem. You have to use manual shifting on hills ,shifting down to 5 th or 6 th gear to keep tranny from hunting for a gear.you will also have to install a 7 pin plug for towing.
When you installed the 7-pin plug, how did you tie in/actuate the extra braking pins?
