Wipers on, Headlights on

I recently purchased a 2021 Jeep Renegade Sport FWD. Shortly after purchasing it I noticed the headlights don't activate when the wipers are functioning but the parking lights do. The headlights and parking lights work normally when set in the auto mode. I have contacted Jeep customer service via both email and phone call. The info they sent me in an email was completely incorrect. The person I spoke with on the phone was no help and told me she was not a mechanic. I have contacted the dealer where I bought it but they are no help either.

My question is it normal for just the parking light to activate with the wipers. Are the headlights suppose to activate with the wipers?

Most states, if not all, require you to use your headlights, not just parking lighs, when your wipers are activated not just your parking lights.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
